This study explored the relationship between maternal lipid profiles and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Among 2,191 pregnant women, 315 (14.38%) were diagnosed with GDM. Univariate and multivariate analyses identified fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and triglyceride (TG) levels in the first and second trimesters as significant risk factors for GDM. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis determined TG cut-off values of **>1.235 mmol/L** in the first trimester and **>1.525 mmol/L** in the second trimester for predicting GDM risk. The findings suggest that trimester-specific TG thresholds can improve GDM screening and risk assessment.
